Rawlings is the oldest American baseball equipment manufacturer, founded in 1887, and is the only manufacturer recognized by MLB as the official glove manufacturer, and the only one that can use the MLB logo on its gloves. Rawlings is a favorite of many MLB players. 54% of MLB players played with Rawlings gloves in the 2022 season. Rawlings gloves are also sold in Japan, but the gloves currently sold in Japan are manufactured by Rawlings Japan, a subsidiary company.

The REV1X is the newest series of gloves of Rawlings. 3D printing technology makes it possible to combine the leather used in Rawlings' HOH (Heart of the Hide) series with several special materials. It also enables the unique design of the back of the glove.
