Rawlings is the oldest American baseball equipment manufacturer, founded in 1887, and is the only manufacturer recognized by MLB as the official glove manufacturer, and the only one that can use the MLB logo on its gloves. Rawlings is a favorite of many MLB players. 54% of MLB players played with Rawlings gloves in the 2022 season. Rawlings gloves are also sold in Japan, but the gloves currently sold in Japan are manufactured by Rawlings Japan, a subsidiary company.
About Heart of the Hide
HOH (Heart of the Hide) is a series that has been in existence for about 70 years. It is made of leather called steerhide, a male cow that is at least two years old. It is softer than the Proprietor's Preferred Series, so it adapts to your hand more quickly.
